 MagicPotz brand identity   Brief Magic Potz is a Canberra based small business, designing terrariums and providing terrarium and fairy garden design classes to the public. We were approached in 2015 to develop a brand identity that demonstrated the fun nature and creativity of the business. Process Above all, the MagicPotz brand identity needed to reflect the youthful nature of the business, combined with the playfulness and colour that can be captured in a terrarium. Immediately we knew the brand logo was going to be hand drawn and the identity text was going to be playful. To us, these two elements spoke youth, fun, and colour. These elements have provided a wonderful platform to create engaging brand experiences from. Solution The MagicPotz brand identity has displayed its versatility extremely well, allowing us to create a range of print, digital, and environmental brand experiences that are distinct to the business.   Outcome The MagicPotz branding has successfully: Created consistency through all brand experiences. Incorporated photography as a major brand asset. This not only showcases the products at a professional level, but also provides a value library of consistent imagery that is also used through social media channels. Promoted the strong relationships that MagicPotz has with its stockist. Print brand experiences We have created a range of vibrant brand experiences for MagicPotz, from engaging stationary and promotional flyers, through to a website with high quality imagery, news/blog, and terrarium care information. The Write Path branding

The Write Path branding Brief The Write Path is a Canberra copywriting and editing business. We were approached by the business owner to create the brand identity and the initial print based brand experiences. From the outset the key concept revolved around removing the clutter that words create. Process The creative process revolved around the concept of removing “clutter” and still retaining an association with copywriting and editing. We worked through numerous ideas but the strongest connection was with a simple circular squiggle and a typeface that is similar to those on old typewriters. Solution The squiggle starts with a thick line and tapers out as the “uncluttering” happens. The squiggle finishes with the word “the”, forming the start of the typography. The typeface for “Write Path” is reminiscent of that from an old typewriter. This provides a visual link the classical days of copywriting and editing. The colour palette for the brand identity are warm and expressive. The typeface used (Roboto) is a Google font, which means it is freely available for print and digital applications, helping to create brand consistency across the mediums. Fir the initial stages of this project we created the brand identity, business cards, letterhead, and promotional flyer.   Outcome Through The Write Path branding project we successfully: Created a brand identity that is personal and engaging. Created a brand identity that is consistent, and flexible. Delivered a brand identity and brand experiences that are cost effective and budget friendly.
